Welcome to my Van
HardenTM
website. Here is the story of the
DayTellerTM
and how it came about... Like so many other people,
my Mom had one of those plastic, weekly pill boxes with
seven compartments and the appropriate day of the week
indicated on the top of each. I would arrange the pills in
the box during my weekly visit. Several times I noticed
she hadn't taken some of the pills, so I asked her why. She
said she frequently wasn't sure which day of the week it
was. "In this retirement life all the days seem the same and
flow together," she said. I went to stores looking
for an automatic calendar or clock with a large, clear,
simple display of the name of the day. All I could find was
a few digital clocks with dinky little day abbreviations
mixed in with a maze of other information, but I knew that
wouldn't help Mom. I searched the web for several weeks. I
checked calendar companies, clock companies, medical supply
outlets, bank supply companies.....I looked everywhere with
no results. So I called associations
dealing with health care, memory issues and the elderly. I
described what I was looking for. Nearly every place I
called said essentially the same thing..... "We've never
seen anything like that but if you find one let us know.
We'd like a lot of them!" All I was trying to do was
help Mom, but now, all of a sudden, I had stumbled into a
serious want and need that was going unfulfilled. So, I
personally designed what I, and apparently others,
needed......The DayTellerTM! Now people all over the
world can help their relatives or personally be grounded in
the certainty of knowing what day it is. It helped my family
and I am so pleased that now it is available to help
yours. And before you leave,
check out another amazing discovery I've made to protect
family members... The
